      May Stevens -May Stevens has been a member of the Abbott Institute for one year. Her love for people of all nationalities and social economic groups was the main reason this organization seemed right. Her hope is to help instill in others that different values and backgrounds are intriguing and effective in keeping communities strong.May was born in Oklahoma and has traveled across several states and Germany and retired in Georgia December 2013 where her husband is originally from.She holds a degree in Nursing, Health Care Administration, and is a Certified Dementia Practitioner. After her 20 year career in nursing, she decided it was time for management. With her credentials and passion for working with the elderly, she pursued management opportunities with senior living communities. She currently works as the Campus Administrator at Magnolia Manor Assisted Living in St Marys, Georgia,  a 36 private apartment senior living facility.She is married and has three daughters, one is also a nurse and currently lives in Puyallup, WA, one is a junior at Valdosta State University, and the youngest is a senior participating in dual enrollment at Brunswick High and College of Coastal Georgia. Two beautiful sweet dogs complete her immediate family.
